Terms of Service

By accessing or using Nexi Event ("the Service") at https://www.nexievent.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Nexi Event is operated by Nexi Event LLC, a limited liability company based in Michigan, USA.

Nexi Event is a mobile-first event management platform that allows event organizers ("Hosts") to manage guest lists, timelines, announcements, seating, and attendee check-in. Guests may access event information via a shared invite link.

You must be at least 18 years old to create a Host account and use paid features. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
• Nexi Event reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Hosts are solely responsible for:

• The accuracy of guest information entered into the platform.
• Obtaining any consent required by law before adding a guest's phone number or email. SMS consent itself is collected directly from the guest, as described in Section 5a below.
• Ensuring their use of the Service complies with applicable laws, including data protection and telemarketing/messaging laws (e.g. TCPA).
• The content of announcements, timelines, and event details they publish.

Nexi Event uses SMS text messages, sent via our provider Twilio, to notify guests about the event they were added to (invitations, timeline updates, and announcements). Consent is collected directly from the guest, not the Host. Guests can opt in in one of two ways: by scanning a QR code displayed at the event, or by opening a shareable check-in link provided by the Host — both lead to the same public, no-login check-in page.

On that page, guests identify themselves by entering their name, phone number, or email address. Beneath that field is a separate, standalone, unchecked-by-default checkbox agreeing to receive SMS updates for that event; checking in never requires checking this box. Only when a guest checks the box is a phone number field revealed, where the guest provides or confirms their mobile number.

No invitations, timeline updates, or announcements are sent to a guest's phone number until that guest checks the box and enters a phone number themselves. Consent is recorded at that point — no reply-YES confirmation is required.

• Message frequency varies by event. Message and data rates may apply.
• Any guest may reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time, or HELP for assistance.
• Phone numbers collected for SMS are never shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

Certain features require a one-time payment per event. All fees are listed at the time of purchase and are processed securely through Stripe.

• Payments are non-refundable once an event has been created and the Service has been delivered.
• If you experience a technical issue that prevents access to the Service, contact us within 7 days at support@nexievent.com for review.
• Nexi Event reserves the right to change pricing at any time with reasonable notice.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Upload or transmit harmful, offensive, or infringing content.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
• Resell or redistribute the Service without written permission.
• Use the Service to send unsolicited communications (spam).

All content, branding, code, and materials on Nexi Event are the property of Nexi Event and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service without prior written consent.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

The Service integrates with third-party providers including Google (authentication), Resend (email), Twilio (SMS delivery), and Stripe (payments). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Nexi Event does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

To the fullest extent permitted by Michigan law, Nexi Event shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the preceding 12 months.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Michigan.

Nexi Event reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the effective date and, where appropriate, by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
